Following Abu Company dominating in the box we took the time to recognize and promote two stellar Soldiers! SPC Echevarria, the 3rd PLT FO, has been with the company for the entirety of the Deployment and has been recognized time and time again for excellence. SPC Rufo, 2nd PLT Team Leader, has been a rockstar in the company for years and continues to display a high level of performance. We are grateful for these two new SGTs in our organization and wish them the best as they continue to progress in the Army!

The Brigade Commander, RAK 6, took the time to recognize two ABU Soldiers following Company CALFEX. Big shoutout to SPC Mortley, who operated the company’s UAS (and did a second CALFEX with Dragon Company), and to 1LT Furbee, the Company FSO, who’s ability to call for fire and utilize assets for the commander resulted in ABU’s phenomenal results!

ABU had the distinct pleasure of rewarding excellence during the Friday closeout formation. SFC Biglane (2nd PLT PSG) elected to reenlist indefinitely! SGT Little (Company Supply SGT) deferred his PCS orders to stay with ABU as we prepare for our next rendezvous with destiny! We are proud to have Soldiers like this amongst our formation!!

ABU Monsters continue to balance readiness and lethality focused training to ensure every Soldier is ready for the next fight. The company continues to excel by supporting the development and implementation of future technology that will help Soldiers dominate the battlefield. ABU Monsters arrived in Fort Huachuca, AZ to test the Dismounted Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing System (DAPS). Through this effort, ABU Monsters are directly contributing to refinement and eventual implementation of a navigation system that will help the Army operate in a GPS denied environment and ultimately save lives. In addition to the DAPS, ABU Monsters have received in depth training from subject matter experts on the AN/PRC-163 radio and ATAK system. This unique opportunity will help ensure that leaders are well versed on the functionality and troubleshooting techniques of the radio enabling a seamless transition. While leaders have been engaged in training, ABU Monsters continue to hone their craft and prepare for upcoming EIB testing via classes on medical tasks and communication systems. This training ensures readiness and reinforces basic Soldier tasks that could make a difference on the battlefield. Additionally, it serves as medium for leaders to empower their subordinates and promote peer-to-peer teaching.

1st PLT Savages conducted a volunteer partnership with the local Mana Café Ministries. The Soldiers of 1st PLT aided in food distribution, readiness for future Mana Café projects, and provide any needed aide this past Friday on 23 SEP 2022. ABU 1-6’s mission is to provide his Soldiers with a stronger sense of selfless service and passion for volunteerism. 1st PLT Savages were enthusiastic about for opportunity and future partnership opportunities with the local surrounding agencies in the community.
