2-506 Infantry - White Currahee

Welcome to the official page of the 2-506 Infantry Battalion, home of the renown "Easy" Company!

The 2-506th Infantry Battalion is a light, expeditionary infantry unit that has a storied legacy dating back to the Regiment’s participation in World War II. It served with distinction and participated in two combat airborne operations. The 506th served in the 3rd Brigade Combat Team during the Vietnam War and again demonstrated its valor in the battles of D**g Ap Bia and Firebase Ripcord. Since t

he beginning of the Global War on Terror the Regiment has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan completing its mission with distinction.

We’re grateful to be back up and running and excited to continue sharing the incredible moments of our White Currahee Family with you. Here are a few recent highlights we’re especially thankful for:

♠️ Trunk or Treat brought the perfect mix of spooky fun and wholesome community spirit! Thank you to all the Soldiers, Families, and Friends who decorated, participated, and made the event such a success.

♠️ Community Chapel Gospel Service generously provided Thanksgiving baskets to ensure our White Currahee Soldiers and Families enjoy a warm and memorable holiday season. We are humbled by their support.

White Currahee is back on Campbell grounds and thriving! This past week was a special one for 2-506.

We kicked things off with a Welcome Back BBQ—great food, great company, and a chance to reconnect as a team and recognize the hard work of team members over the summer.

Dog Company received 1SG William Shaffer as their new 1SG and India Company welcomed 1SG Gary Mabry. These leaders will certainly guide us to victory!

We also had the honor of celebrating our Soldiers who earned their Expert Soldier Badge today! Your dedication, skill, and professionalism set the standard for all of us—congratulations, and get ready to the next War Fighter for greatness!

Congratulations to our two Moral Terrain Coaching (MTC) graduates — SPC Gerald Hertania from Easy Company and Chaplain (CPT) Ebony West!

Through the MTC Certification Course, they have strengthened their leadership and developed key competencies to address the moral complexities within their formations. As certified coaches, they are now equipped to help Soldiers and leaders navigate the moral terrain with honor while accomplishing the mission — anytime, anywhere.

A sincere thank you to MAJ Ben Ordiway, MAJ Anthony Lupo, and the USMA Department of Law and Philosophy for training and supporting our team. CURRAHEE!

It’s been a high-tempo week at Camp Currahee!

♠️ A big thank you to General McIntosh for taking the time to visit—we appreciate your continued support.

♠️ Congratulations to our newest Air Assault School graduates: SPC Flores, SGT Bible, and SSG Wagler! White Currahee continues to build individual competence in air assault tasks to enable our distinguishing capability: Long Range, Large Scale Air Assault!

♠️ As we shift into the next phase of Cadet training, Task Force White Currahee remains committed to providing world class training that introduces future leaders of character to the Soldiers and NCOs they will be privileged to lead. Task Force White Currahee is currently serving as primary instructors and Platoon Mentors for Cadet Leader Development Training (CLDT), Cadet Basic Training and Cadet Candidate Basic Training.

We’re officially past the halfway point of summer training, but there’s still more to come. Stay tuned—CURRAHEE! ♠️2️⃣-5️⃣0️⃣6️⃣

🎓♠️Air Assault Graduates! 🦅♠️
Congratulations to our 2-506 IN BN Soldiers, PFC Branch, PFC Diaz, and SPC Betts, who successfully graduated Air Assault School at West Point!

These Currahee warriors continue to sharpen their edge, enhancing the 101st Airborne Division’s Air Assault warfighting capability. Their grit, discipline, and determination uphold our proud legacy as the tip of the spear.

Thank you to the United States Military Academy for hosting this rigorous course and providing our Soldiers the unique opportunity to train alongside future leaders of our Army.
