Fort Carson extends our welcome to retirees from all eras.

Veterans, from the 213th Assault Support Helicopter Company "Black Cats," toured the Fort Carson Butts Army Airfield as part of their biennial alumni reunion. The vets were mechanics, pilots and flight engineers of CH-47 Chinooks who served in Vietnam in the late 1960s.

Keep in touch with Fort Carson on-line with the Fort Carson Mountaineer. The Colorado Springs Military Newspaper Group publishes the paper through a Civilian Enterprise contract weekly. Paper published Fridays (Thursdays preceding federal/training holidays). CSMNG also prints the papers for the U.S. Air Force Academy, Peterson Air Force Base and Shriever Air Force Base.

As Soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, continue coming back from war, more and more welcome home ceremonies are taking place.
