LEADERSHIP PIKES PEAK WOMEN'S COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE
Leadership Pikes Peak is pleased to announce that we are now accepting
applications for the 2015 Women's Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI)
program. WCLI is an education and leadership development program that seeks
to empower low- to modest-income women, many of whom have been dependent on
government or nonprofit community support, who are working to better their
future. Candidates in the program should be seeking personal and
professional skill building techniques and an opportunity to give back to
their community. WCLI targets an important segment of our population not
traditionally considered leaders.

Through the six-month, twelve-session program, participants learn about the
community as they practice new skills. The graduates of this program become
involved in their own communities and schools, armed with confidence that
they have a voice that matters and that they have something to contribute.
The program curriculum provides knowledge and tools to women looking to
improve their situation and move beyond basic self-sufficiency.

Please help us identify women who might be interested in participating in
this program. An electronic application is available at
http://www.leadershippikespeak.org/programs/wcli/. Attached is a printable
application and a flyer to post or distribute. The application deadline is
November 15, 2014. To receive printed flyers/applications call or email
Sylvia, contact info below.

Women accepted into this free program will attend class every other
Wednesday evening, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Classes start January 7 and end
June 10. Each class session is held at a different community location.
Dinner is included and a stipend for childcare is available.
