Congratulations SSG Lopez

Congratulations to Staff Sgt. Justine M. Vierra, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Staff Sgt. Edith Lopez, 230th Financial Management Support Unit, and Staff Sgt. Joel Irvin, 22nd Human Resources Company, 4th Special Troops Battalion, 4th Sustainment Brigade on their graduation from the Drill Sergeant Academy at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, October 3, 2018.

This spring, a 4th Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Soldier accepted the Congressional Gold Medal on behalf of his late grandfather for his service during World War II, at the Filipino-American Community of Colorado Hall in Edgewater.

Bittersweet day for the 230th FMSU saying goodbye to Marisleidy Olazabal; her awesome personality and amazing charisma will be greatly missed throughout the unit. We wish her all the best back in Las Vegas and college life. Thank her for her great contributions to the unit and the Army, Best wishes Marisleidy.

Today 5 outstanding Golden Eagles graduated the Basic Leader Course; SPC Goodine, SPC Choi, SPC Yang, SPC Sharma, and SPC Wang. All five are poised and ready for promotion to Sergeant in the coming months.

SPC Choi, SPC Sharma, and SPC Wang also received additional recognition by being selected for the Commandants List. Congratulate them!!!

This week our Alpha Detachment had lunch together to acknowledge some hard working Soldiers. SGT Lallemand received a COA for his outstanding performance on his APFT, he also received an AAM for his hard work and dedication during the Brigade FTX and his Good Conduct Medal for outstanding service the last 3 years. SPC McCallister and SGT Adelaja also received Good Conduct Medals for their outstanding service and dedication to the Army the last 3 years. The Detachment also said farewell to SPC Ransom who is reclassing from finance and SSG Kleinschmidt who is PCSing to Hawaii.

It's always a great day in the Army when an outstanding NCO decides to extend their service. SSG Lee reenlisted for another 6 years in the Army. He'll be leaving us in October to PCS to Korea.

Alpha detachment said goodbye to their Commander of over two years, CPT Bradford, who lead them during their deployment in 2016. Best wishes to him and his family on their next adventure in the Army.
