Challenge Accepted!

Last month, 71st EOD Group sent soldiers from the 764th EOD Company, 787th EOD Company, 761st EOD Company, 741st EOD Company, 759th EOD Company, 53rd EOD Company, and 707th EOD Company to Raven's Challenge in Camp Dodge, Iowa.

Raven's Challenge is an ATF led, week long exercise where EOD techs conduct a wide range of real life scenarios designed to enhance EOD interoperability in operational environments. The event brings civilian and military EOD techs together from different branches, states, and countries to share best practices with each other and learn new techniques. Raven's Challenge also encourages teams to try new approaches to EOD problems by utilizing their instructors as observers instead of evaluators, allowing teams more freedom in how they solve the scenarios.

Stay tuned throughout the month for more coverage from Raven's Challenge!

During the training, the organizations gave an overview of their capabilities, the tools and techniques they use to deal potential EOD threats, and what roles they play in public safety. This event also helped build a stronger partnership between the organizations, setting the foundation for more joint operations in the future.

Unwavering focus. Remarkable grit. Incredible determination. 🔥

Leaders from 71st EOD Group wrapped up Talon Forge 26.3 with some awesome physical events and team building exercises, starting Wednesday morning off strong with an early morning hike through Red Rocks, and ending the day sweating it out on the mats with combatives training hosted by the Fort Carson Combatives Facility cadre. The week concluded on Thursday morning with the hike up the famously punishing Manitou Incline.

Thank you to all who helped make this another successful Talon Forge!
