A truly amazing week is in the books for the Immortals! We kicked off this week with 7 promotions to SGT, 1 to SSG, and our 1SG finally pinned her diamond. The NCOs completed a ncopd on AR 600-9 we’re they learned proper ht/wt procedures as well as how to tape soldiers. We conducted prep and pmi for our upcoming live fire shoot house. Got in some great pt at the obstacle course. Finally wrapped up the week with FRD and a CROWs class to ensure everyone is ready for the coming weeks. Great job to everyone this week and congratulations to all who got promoted!!!

To say this week was amazing would be an understatement! Welcome everyone to this weeks Immortal recap. We started out running some crew serve ranges to prepare for gunnery and then got into the Halloween spirit on Friday with a company costume contest. SPC Pace won the costume contest for his costume of Bob Ross, securing himself a company coin and a three day pass. Our company command team as well as some motivated Soldiers set up two trunks for the battalion trunk or treat. SSG Escobar blessed the company by reenlisting to stay with us for a couple more years. Finally SSG Sital and SPC Walker competed in the NCO and soldier of the quarter boards sweeping both categories for the Immortals. Excellence is becoming contagious around 984th so stick close because more is on the way!

The days may be getting shorter but not for the Immortals as we get closer and closer to our upcoming gunnery ranges. We were able to take a little break last week to really connect deeper with each other in some amazing conversations during foundational readiness day. We even had some great pt all around. There is no way you can beat the earlier morning sunrise from the top of the incline!!!

Finishing up another busy week the Immortals cleared their next hurdle along the road to gunnery. The digital Trainer provided some amazing training and allowed the soldiers to get a feel of what gunnery will be like before stepping foot on the range. The remaining soldiers who needed to test out GST competed it and we are fully ready for the next gate. Some high speed Immortals also competed in a company challenge to decide who will represent us at the BN soldier NCO and officer of the quarter board where they will no doubt win!!

This week was a sad but joyous week as we said goodbye to many great Immortals as the move forward on to the next chapters of their lives. SSG Morris our supply SGT who is definitely the best supply NCO in the bn is moving on after being selected to become a warrant officer. SPC Emerson and SPC Pace both move forward to their next duty stations and will be deeply missed across the company. SPC Spaulding finally received her impact AAM for her above and beyond actions during change of command inventories. CPL Boyd was promoted to SGT a promotion he greatly deserves. Finally SGT Eilers was selected as this weeks Immortal Hero of the Week.

This weeks Immortal Hero of the Week is SGT Eilers.

SGT Eilers is assigned as a Team Leader in 1st Platoon in 984th MP Company. SGT Eilers is the primary subject matter expert in the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) for the company. He planned and executed CROWS Academy for the battalion, training new Soldiers on the CROWS. SGT Eilers took charge when at the range and taught the Soldiers the proper way to orient the CROWS to lock onto the targets. He trained 17 Soldiers to operate the CROWS and helped facilitate two Soldiers to become instructors. SGT Eilers is a model NCO is holds himself and his Soldiers to an extremely high standard. He is well deserving of the Immortal Hero of the Week.

What a busy and action packed week this week as the Immortals completed their squad certifications! Many missions and lanes were run, it started raining, and it started getting cold but nothing could break our spirits or our motivation. We were also fortunate to say goodbye to an amazing NCO SGT Godley as he heads to his nectar adventure in life. The Immortals gained two new SGTs as CPL Marin and Price were promoted to SGT. Finally we closed out the day by promoting PFC Mayor. Congratulations everyone and great job on all your hard work.

Sorry for the delay but welcome to the Weekly Immortal recap.

This week many new things shifted as we adjusted our priorities to best improve our readiness and lethality. We were able to promote pv2 hanks to pfc and pfc minor to spc. Cpl scrimshaw our medic for second platoon received the first new company “coin” for his outstanding contributions to the team. Finally SSG Hageman began teaching gunnery skills to the Immortals as they prepare for an upcoming gunnery.

It’s been a super busy and packed week as the Immortals completed People First Action Week. In the very beginning of the week we caught up with promotions that were well deserved such as promotions to SGT, SPC, PFC, and PV2. For day two of the week each squad competed in a squad challenge where they had to move from one box to another using the provided material. The big twist however was all members of the squad were blindfolded except for the squad leader who had to direct them using only their words. On day three after classes we all completed a company wide hike around rampart reservoir which totaled to 14.5 miles. While on the hike SPC Raube conducted his first reenlistment with 1LT Flynn as the reenlisting officer. The week was an amazing success with all Immortals learning new skills and being challenged in many different aspects.
