Carol Tunner holds commemorative coin she saved from the 70 Year celebration of the Silver Grill Cafe building in 2003. Carol was instrumental in writing a grant that provided funding to restore the building location to its 92 year-old design! Carol presented the coin to the Cafe staff during the Eyeopeners Round Table meeting on January 2, 2025.

During our May 19th Eyeopeners Sunday at 5:00 pm meeting, we enjoyed food, fellowship, and the fun of assembling 50 birthday treat bags to be distributed by Putnam Elementary School kindergarten teachers for the 2024-25 school year. We are delighted to begin an on-going partnership with Putnam.

Carol Ann Kates shared her insider wisdom on Grocery Shopping Secrets. Mrs.Kates is the award winning author of the book Secret Recipes from the Corner Market. The cookbook was a tribute to her family. Her father had founded Steeles Market in Fort Collins. Her presentation on great tips on how to reduce your food budget was enlightening. Special thanks to Eyeopeners member, Paul Craft, for inviting Mrs. Kates to our meeting on May. 16th.

The Poudre High School Baseball Team joined us for our meeting today. Led by Coaches Shawn Pitts and Joe Fontana, our guests showed their appreciation for a donation we provided to the Poudre Baseball Club. It was heartwarming to hear the coaches and players describe how the money will be used to support the athletes and how the team supports character building.
