The NFRMPO is excited to announce the release of the updated Regional Active Transportation Plan (ATP)! The ATP updates Northern Colorado’s shared vision for improved active transportation. Active Transportation includes pedestrians, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and any other personal mobility devices.

The ATP was adopted by the NFRMPO Planning Council in May 2026, and includes the following:
• A consolidated summary of the existing bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, data, and design standards throughout the region
• Segment by segment analysis of each Regional Active Transportation Corridor (RATC), including needs, opportunities, and barriers
• Best practices and recommended action steps in various topic areas, including emerging micromobility solutions such as electric assist bikes (e-bikes)
• Updated tools, analysis, and guidance supporting local and regional planning and funding efforts

You can view the ATP here: https://nfrmpo.org/bike-ped/
