Colorado State University Police and Safety Colorado State University Police Department and Public Safety Team provide health and safety services to all CSU community members.

This is the official page for Colorado State University Police and Public Safety Team. The CSU Public Safety Team reports to the university President and coordinates health, safety, emergency and crisis prevention strategies, policies, and education and training, and emergency and disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. The team is responsible for communicating with the universi

ty during an emergency. Colorado State University Police Department is dedicated to the safety of campus. All CSUPD officers are state-certified through the Colorado Police Officers Standards and Training Board. CSUPD officers also are commissioned by the CSU Board of Governors to serve CSU, through Fort Collins Police Services and through Larimer County Sheriff’s Department. While the department’s primary focus in on safety and security on the CSU campus, CSUPD officers also provide aid and have authority beyond campus boundaries.

Due to an inbound winter storm, CSU Mountain Campus will be closed Monday and Tuesday, May 18 and 19. Onsite operations are suspended until Wednesday, May 20. Students in NR220 - Natural Resource Ecology and Measurements session 1 should check the Canvas course page for further instructions regarding academic requirements for the course and if housing needs are required.

Colorado State University is anticipating weather this afternoon around 3:30-4 p.m. The College of Health and Human Sciences recognition ceremonies at Moby Arena will experience a delay and will now start at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please check commencement.colostate.edu for details. Commencement activities at the ceremony tent will continue as scheduled.
