ith local businesses, schools, and event organizers to provide transportation demand management planning. This work helps reduce traffic and parking impacts while improving access and mobility for employees, residents, and visitors. These efforts have helped Fort Collins earn national recognition, including Platinum Bicycle Friendly Community status from the League of American Bicyclists.

Want to learn how to skateboard? This class is built for beginners.

Join instructors from Launch for Learn to Ride: Skateboard, a two-part class for adults who are new to skateboarding and want to learn how to use a board to get around. You’ll practice basic skills and drills in a supportive environment. Bring your own skateboard or use a loaner, and helmets will be provided.

5:30–7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Thursday, Sept. 17 at the CSU Rec Center Roller Hockey Rink.

Space is limited to 12 participants and registration is required.

Passenger rail is expected to arrive in Fort Collins in 2029. Now is the time to help shape what a future Fort Collins station could look like.

The Fort Collins Station Area Readiness Study will help the City prepare for Front Range Passenger Rail, or Colorado Connector (CoCo), and plan how a future station can serve Fort Collins and connect people to where they need to go.

Walk, roll and explore the 200 block of Linden Street during First Friday on Linden Street. Enjoy live music, outdoor games, sidewalk vendors and a skateboard expo featuring opportunities to learn and skate.

It’s never too late to learn to ride a bike!

Join CSU and the City of Fort Collins for Adult Learn to Ride, a free three-part class for adults who want to learn to ride or feel more confident on a bike.

Instructors will help you practice balancing, pedaling, starting, stopping and steering in a supportive environment. Bikes and helmets are available if you don’t have your own.

Classes meet from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 8–22, at the CSU South Moby Lot. Space is limited and registration is required.

Ever wonder how Fort Collins became one of the most bike-friendly cities in the country?

Join us for Wheel Story: A Bicycle History Tour and explore the people and places that helped shape biking in Fort Collins. This 3.5-mile ride through Old Town will look at our early bike history, how bike infrastructure has changed and the role community advocates like Bette Sears played in creating more transportation choices.

Thinking about making more of your everyday trips by e-bike? Colorado's statewide e-bike rebate program can help make the switch more affordable.

Colorado residents who qualify based on income can register for a chance to receive a $1,000 rebate toward a new e-bike. An additional $300 is available for qualifying e-cargo bikes and adaptive e-bikes.

The next registration window opens Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. and closes Aug. 31 at noon. Rebates are awarded through a random selection process and must be used at a participating retailer.

Join us 1:30–2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23 at Council Tree Library (2733 Council Tree Ave.) for The All Season Cyclist: Understanding Infrastructure. We’ll look at the streets, trails and bike facilities you use every day. Learn why bike infrastructure changes from street to street and how maintenance, construction and changing seasons can affect your ride.

Open Streets returns this year 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, on Laurel Street between Mason Street and Shields Street. This event offers the opportunity to safely travel along car-free streets using human-powered ways to get around like walking, biking or scooting. Enjoy a fun-filled day of free, family-friendly activities, live music and food trucks along the route!

As students head back to school, expect to see more young people walking and biking throughout Fort Collins, along with some new drivers on the road.

If you're driving, slow down and give people walking and biking plenty of space, especially at crosswalks and intersections. Stay alert along neighborhood streets and routes leading to schools, follow school-zone speed limits and be patient with people who may be making these trips for the first time.

A little extra attention and slower speeds can make a big difference in helping everyone get where they're going safely.
