Democracy doesn’t run itself. As we head into the 2026 General Election, we’re putting out the call to all registered voters in Larimer County—learn more about how elections work and give back to your community by becoming an Election Judge with Larimer County.

As an Election Judge, you help us run the election by providing service to voters at vote centers, verifying and tabulating ballots at our counting facility, or securely transporting materials across the county. Wages start at $17.42. Hours and commitments vary. Work between 5 and 40 hours a week starting as early as October all the way up to Election Day.

With the polls having closed at 7:00 pm, it's time for results!

Please note: results are unofficial and are subject to change. Candidates that were in one position earlier in the night may be in another position later as more ballots are counted. All results are unofficial until canvass has been completed and election results have been certified (no later than Wednesday, July 22).

Today's the big day! All ballots must be received by our Office by 7 pm, today, June 30, 2026.

All ballot boxes will be locked. All lines for vote centers will close. If you are in-line at 7 pm, you will still be able to vote.

Tag any friends and family who haven't voted yet, share this post on your page—here's everything you need to know for the final two days of the 2026 Primary Election.

🗳 Return your ballot at one of our 24 ballot boxes across Larimer County. Ballot boxes are open 24 hours a day until 7 pm on Election Day. Find a ballot box near you at larimer.gov/where-to-vote.

🏢 If you want to vote in-person, visit one of our three vote centers. Vote centers are open from 8 am to 5 pm today and from 7 am to 7 pm on Election Day. Find a vote center near you at larimer.gov/where-to-vote.

⚠️ If you made a mistake marking your mail ballot, visit a vote center to obtain a replacement or vote in-person.

🕖 All ballots must be received by 7 pm on Election Day, Tuesday, June 30 in order to be counted. Postmarks do not count.

Our voting system is 100% accurate when it comes to interpreting marks and producing results. At the same time, this only works if the marks are straightforward—if one oval is filled in for each contest, and each oval is filled in completely.

If a ballot has a write-in candidate or is otherwise marked in a way that our system can't interpret—if more than one oval is filled in or the oval is filled in incompletely—the ballot enters a process known as 'Adjudication'.

To adjudicate a ballot, a team of bipartisan Election Judges will review the marks according to guidelines from the Secretary of State's Office, looking for any patterns, corrections, or notes that will help them determine the voter's intent.

If you make a mistake on your ballot, call our Office at (970) 498-7820 or visit a vote center to get a replacement.

Don't get caught in the Election Day rush—return your ballot this weekend!

🗳️ Ballot boxes are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

🏢 Vote centers will be open:

- Friday from 8 am to 5 pm
- Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm
- Monday from 8 am to 5 pm
- Tuesday (Election Day) from 7 am to 7 pm

Please note: Vote centers are closed on Sunday. At this point in the election, we do not recommend returning your ballot by mail. If you return your ballot by mail, there is a very good chance that it will not arrive at our Office in time to be counted.

All ballots must be received by 7 pm on Election Day. Postmarks do not count.

If you’re delivering a few ballots for family members or friends this election:

✉ Make sure each ballot is in its own separate return envelope.

🔟 Do not deliver more than 10 ballots.

Remember: all ballots must be received by our Office by 7 pm on Election Day, next Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Ballots that are stained, torn, or damaged can't run through our scanners. However, every ballot needs to be scanned in order to tabulate the results. This being the case, a bipartisan team of Election Judges will carefully copy the original ballot onto a new one in a process we call 'Duplication'.

To duplicate a ballot, the first Election Judge reads out the choices on the original ballot while the second Election Judge fills in the new one. Then, they'll exchange ballots—the first Election Judge reading the choices on the new one, the second Election Judge checking it against the original—in order to confirm.

Once the original ballot has been duplicated, the original ballot is sent off to retention, where we'll securely store it with the rest of our ballots for at least 25 months.

The moral of the story? If your ballot is torn, damaged, or stained, call our Office at (970) 498-7820 or visit a vote center to obtain a replacement.

Vote centers for the 2026 Primary Election officially opened yesterday, June 22!

Vote centers aren't just for voting in-person. You can also drop off your mail ballot, update your registration, obtain a replacement ballot, and vote on accessible voting machines.
