This morning, members of the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Luke Fleener of the Webster County Sheriff's Office conducted active attack training with staff from the Humboldt Community Schools. We're very thankful for our close relationship with the school district and very much appreciate Sheriff Fleener taking time out of his busy schedule to lend his insight and expertise.

A Thank You to Iowa Jail Staff

During National Corrections Officer Week, we take time to recognize a group that works behind the scenes but plays a critical role in public safety: our jail staff across the state of Iowa.

From intake to release, corrections officers handle some of the most challenging and unpredictable situations in law enforcement. They maintain order, ensure the safety and well-being of those in custody, and uphold the integrity of the justice system every day. This work takes professionalism, patience, and a level of resilience that often goes unseen.

On behalf of all of the Deputies across the state, this is a direct and sincere thank you!

We see the long hours, the difficult calls, and the constant responsibility you carry. The job is not easy, and it is not always visible to the public, but it matters. What you do matters.

Your role is essential to the mission we all share, protecting our communities and serving the people of Iowa with integrity.

This week and every week, know that you have the respect and appreciation of deputies statewide.

Thank you for what you do!!
