Family & Community Action Team

Family & Community Action Team This group of provider and community members cover Calhoun, Pocahontas and Webster Counties as well as Hamilton, Humboldt and Wright Counties in Iowa.

The Family & Community Action Team is a group of health and human service providers, community members, educators and public servants who work together to bring about positive, healthy change in our community. Our primary goals are to:
1. Reduce child abuse and re-abuse.
2. Identify and discuss programming/service needs which have a direct impact on families’ health and well-being.
3. Provide oppo

rtunities for education and learning to service providers, care-takers and the general public.
4. Assist families and connect them with support and services.
5. Build community awareness and provide networking opportunities for people to come together. Due to the large area the Family & Community Action Team covers there are two groups. One for the Calhoun, Pocahontas and Webster (CPW FCAT) county area and another for Hamilton, Humboldt and Wright (HHW FCAT). Although we meet separately and have different people at the table our goals and many of our opportunities are shared.
