Good evening Sherpas!!

The 10th Brigade Support Battalion's motto is Proud to Support. Today, more then ever, we Sherpas need to live that motto. In light of recent events, we need to support one another now more then ever. Veterans across the world are filled with mixed and complicated emotions that can at times be hard to deal with. It is important that we take an extra second to ask the Sherpas and OUR families if they are ok. Ensure that we look after one another and use the resources available to all of us to support one another. Every member of this Sherpa family, military or civilian, are important. Below are a list of resources that you can utilize if you are struggling with the complex emotions everyone is facing. We are Sherpas. We are Proud to Support.

Calling all Sherpas!! Calling all Sherpas!!

The 10th BSB is conducting a Back to School drive to assist our families as we exit this pandemic. Our Sherpa families have faced incredible challenges this last year, only to be that much stronger. Our families have shown that they are not only Mountain Tough but Sherpa Proud. Let us celebrate and assist one another by contributing whatever we can. One pack of crayons or pencils can make a difference. Be the difference that only Sherpas can be.

The drive will be held from 1 July to 25 August. Please drop off any supplies in the drop box outside the Chaplain's office at the 10th BSB building.

If there are any questions please contact CPT Harry Ross, 10th BSB Chaplain.

Today as you celebrate with your family and friends, take a second to appreciate this day's history. On July 4th, 1776, 56 delegates signed the Declaration of Independence that changed the world forever. They stood behind the idea of freedom that we know and love today. Since that time, Soldiers have fought tirelessly to protect that freedom whenever the need arose. The Sherpa Battalion carries on this tradition and Proud to Support our nation's freedom. Be proud of the work you do and the uniform we wear. Have an amazing 4th of July Sherpas!

"Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."

U.S. Army Birthday Showcase

On 14 June 1775, Congress "resolved, That six companies of expert riflemen, be immediately raised in Pennsylvania, two in Maryland, and two in Virginia… [and] as soon as completed, shall march and join the army neat Boston, to be there employed as light infantry, under the command of the chief officer in that army."

Since that time, the Army has continued expanding and evolving into today's adaptive highly-skilled fighting force. Yet, the same resolve and purpose for creation ring as distinct today as it did in 1775… freedom.

Our Sherpa Soldiers and Family Members exit one of our nation's trying times caused by a global pandemic. Let us reflect on the trials we faced but rejoice in our resiliency to endure.

Today marks the anniversary of the largest air, land and sea operation in modern military history. As dawn broke on June 6th, approximately 156,000 Allied troops began the invasion of Normandy. The resolve of the Allied forces ensured a foot hold on the European peninsula. The Battle of Normandy has been called the end of the war. Let us take a second and remember.
