GOODBYE FORT EDWARD. Jan's Cans will close permanently on April 30, 2023. Our state government hasn't seen fit to raise our handling fee (our ONLY source of income) since 2009 and has no intention of doing so until at least 2026.

Our last official business day will be Saturday April 29th.
SO BRING 'EM ON!!!!!
Come see us one more time and get cleaned out ready for summer

Good (?) morning all. It's been an easy winter until now. WE WILL BE CLOSED TODAY DUE TO THE WEATHER. We will also be CLOSED NEXT WEEK for vacation. See you again on TUESDAY MARCH, 22nd. We'll be ready for all the winter hibernators to come out of hiding. THINK SPRING 💐🌼🌸💐🌹🌷

Good morning everyone. I have had 8 recent messages ALL asking for our hours. We are open TUESDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAY from 9:30 - 4:30. If you don't see the hours posted on our page please leave me a voicemail message and I'll try to figure out why.

THAT SAID - on bad weather days, please check here for any changes to hours for that day!

ICE, ICE, ICE!
We WILL be open today (Tues. 2/16) just a bit later than normal. As soon as the roads are safer we'll get the doors open - Noon'ish is what we'll work toward. If you're unsure please call before you head out. As always BE SAFE.

The roads are better! We will be open today (Tues. 2/2/21) from 1:30 - 4:30 to take your bottles and cans. Drive safely.

We're watching and waiting . . . still no firm decision. IF the roads clear and it's safe to drive we MIGHT be able to open this afternoon, BUT (no pun intended) no amount of cans are worth MY can 😁 If we don't get open today and you need to get them gone, please feel free to call me to arrange a possible time to come in tomorrow. And, as always, we WILL be open on Thursday and Saturday from 9:30 to 4:30. Please check back or feel free to call for updates this afternoon. Above all PLEASE BE SAFE OUT THERE!

ARE WE OPEN TOMORROW (2/2)? We don't know yet. Like everyone else, we'll watch the weather and see what tomorrow brings! Last time, it brought 40 inches . . . Let's hope for a lot less this time 😂

Check back in the morning - or call - if the roads are passable we may just delay our opening time.

IT'S GOING TO SNOW! Soooooo . . . We'll be opening tomorrow (Thursday - 12/17/2020) at noon(ish) or as soon as the roads are safe enough to travel. Please feel free to call if you're unsure of our status. As usual, keep your cans safe and don't drive unless you absolutely must!!!
