The Department of Public Health was proud to host a Health Cooking Class for Soldiers, focused on creating affoirdable, nutrious meals while building confidence in the kitchen.

This hands-on class provided Soldiers with practical tips for preparing cost-effective meals that support a healthy lifestyle and overall well-being. Learning simple, budget-friendly cooking skills is an important step toward maintaining good nutrition and readiness.

A special thank you to Chef Joe and Chef Richard for sharing their expertise, time, and passion for healthy cooking. We also extend our appreciation to Army Community Service (ACS) for supporting this event and providing access to the kitchen space that made this class possible.

It was a privilege to stand alongside Gold Star Spouses as we honored their loved ones' sacrifice, celebrated their strength and resilience, and expressed our heartfeld gratitude for all they endured.

The Department of Public Health supported the Langley USO Baby Shower on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The ladies enjoyed a variety of delicious food, games, and activities.

Each individual was provided a unique baby caddy carefully selected by the USO director, Kristin.

The Department of Public Health is so grateful to be able to support this event with education on health and wellness with a focus on pregnancy/postpartum and newborns.
