Public Notice of Retirement
After nearly 30 years of dedicated service, we announce the retirement of Chief Deputy Sonnie Wallace Jr., whose career with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office began in 1996.
Throughout his tenure, Chief Deputy Sonnie Wallace Jr. has served this agency and community with professionalism, integrity, and unwavering commitment. His leadership, experience, and dedication have had a lasting impact on both the department and the citizens he served. Over the course of his career, he has worked tirelessly to uphold the law, mentor younger deputies, and strengthen public trust within our community. His contributions and years of service will not be forgotten. We extend our sincere gratitude to Chief Deputy Sonnie Wallace Jr. for his decades of faithful service and wish him and his family many years of health, happiness, and well-deserved retirement.
