⚓️ Navy Pride on Full Display at the DINFOS Broom Bowl! 🧹🏆

This past Saturday, the DINFOS Navy Detachment’s CSADD program, in partnership with the Petty Officer’s Association and supported by the DINFOS Chief’s Mess, hosted the first-ever Broom Bowl — a day of fun, competition, and camaraderie.

Sailors went head-to-head by duty section in a series of high-energy events, all in pursuit of the coveted Broom Bowl trophy. From teamwork challenges to spirited games, the event brought out the best in our Navy students.

Navy instructors showed up in full force, volunteering their time to referee, grill, and even join in on the games—demonstrating what true mentorship and leadership look like.

Bravo Zulu to everyone who made the event a success! 💪🌟

⚓️ Anchoring Our Heritage ⚓️

The Petty Officer’s Association at the Defense Information School recently led a mentorship trip to the U.S. Naval Academy Museum and John Paul Jones’ crypt in Annapolis, Maryland to the Navy Detachment students.

This powerful visit was designed to instill Naval heritage, pride, and leadership values in our junior Sailors, connecting them to the rich legacy of those who shaped our Navy’s history.

By walking the grounds of the Yard and honoring one of our Navy’s greatest heroes, our Sailors gained perspective on the importance of service, tradition, and mentorship in today’s fleet.

Bravo Zulu to all who participated in keeping our proud history alive!

DINFOS Instructors Went the Extra Yard for Super Bowl Weekend!

This Super Bowl weekend, our dedicated Navy instructors at DINFOS showed their support for our students both on and off the field! They marched alongside students to DINFOS and proudly sponsored the CSADD Super Bowl party.

It was more than just a game—it was about teamwork, camaraderie, and mentorship. Whether students cheered for their favorite team or just enjoyed the halftime show, it was a great opportunity to come together as one team, one fight.

Thanks to everyone who made it a success! 🏈⚓

❄️ Snow Day Shenanigans at Fort Meade Navy Detachment ❄️
Our Navy instructors while on a snow day went to the Navy Detachment to step in as judges for the junior sailors' epic snowman contest, where creativity and teamwork were on full display. ⛄✨
After the judging wrapped up, the instructors joined in on the fun, sparking a full-blown snowball fight! Laughter echoed through the frosty air as everyone enjoyed a much-deserved day of camaraderie.
Moments like these remind us of the importance of building bonds and making memories—on and off duty. 💙⚓
