It has been a minute, and I hope you all had a great holiday. Fort Meade is having its next installation Town Hall on Monday, DEC 8 at 5:30 p.m. in the Installation's Post Auditorium (Theater). The event will also be live streamed on the Fort George G. Meade, Md page. Besides an update from COL Gore, we will also have an update from the Garrison Housing Office; Corvias; Emergency Services will discuss new gate and visitor procedures; Public Works will discuss ongoing projects; Army Community Services will talk about support and services for families. Most important, we'll be taking your questions, so ... What do you got?

Morning, CYS Families: We will be having our next Town Hall with Garrison Commander, COL Yolanda Gore on Tuesday at 5:30 to 7 p.m. We'll be live at the Post Theater and streaming on the Fort George G. Meade, Md page to talk about all things Summer, new indoor pool hours and anything on your mind. So ... What do you got?

Wanted to remind everyone that on Thursday, Fort Meade is hosting a school-aged services Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. at Smallwood Hall. (While building in parking lot next to the Parade Field -- next to the old museum) You can also attend via Facebook.
COL Sapp will be joined by a representative from AACPS to talk redistricting. We will also have Child and Youth Services leadership.
So ... What questions do you got? You can ask about anything Fort Meade related -- not just school topics, though that will be the focus.

Team Meade,

Fort Meade Garrison leadership has announced a 10 AM DELAYED ARRIVAL for tomorrow, January 17, due to weather.

- Rockenbach and Mapes/32 gates will open at 9 AM.
- Unscheduled telework is authorized with supervisor approval.
- Meade CYS CDCs and SACs will begin accepting children at 12 PM to allow time for parking areas and sidewalks to be cleared.
- Commissary and Fort Meade Exchange will open on time.
- Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center employees will arrive at 9:30 AM. KACC will begin accepting patients at 10 AM.

This call is for Garrison services only. Please contact your chain of command to confirm unit-specific status.

Update for tomorrow — CDCs will be receiving kids at 10 am.

Team Meade,

Fort Meade Garrison leadership has announced a 10 AM DELAYED ARRIVAL for tomorrow, January 16, due to weather.

- Rockenbach and Mapes/32 gates will open at 9 AM
- Unscheduled telework is authorized.
- CDCs will be accepting children beginning at 10 AM
- Garrison will reconvene at 7 AM tomorrow to see if status needs to be adjusted.

It’s spring-cleaning season!

Starting Apr. 17 until May 5, members of the Fort Meade community, including the garrison offices and our partner units, will take part in an installation-wide spring cleanup. Keeping our installation clean is one way of preserving the very community where we spend a significant part of our lives – and an installation-wide clean-up is one way to do just that. Let’s work together to improve the appearance and well-being of Fort Meade this spring!
