Goodbye, VONAPP!

We are officially retiring “VONAPP,” our online form used to apply for education benefits. It was an actual (somewhat complicated) VA form you completed and sent online.

We now use an interface that walks you through the application…kind of like tax preparation software…to make it easier to apply for benefits. Most of you have likely used it, and we hope it was a better experience than trying to figure out wonky, multi-part questions.

To the Fort Gordon Warrior Transition Battalion family, thank you for being a part of the team; the Ft. Gordon WTB couldn't have been successful without you. As some, and perhaps many are aware, the Department of the Army and Army Medical Command made some drastic changes in FY2016 with the realignment of the TRICARE Regions as well as WTB locations and closures. Unfortunately, the WTB at Ft. Gordon was on the list to inactivate.

The Ft. Gordon WTB inactivated on 13 July 2016 and Ft. Steweart WTB inherited all remaining Soldiers in the program from Ft. Gordon.

Don't worry though, it was decided to leave this page as is on Facebook... a virtual home with a door always opened for old and new visitors.
