🎨 Meet Indigenous Artist Diane Trahant at Colter Bay!
Join us June 23–29 at the Colter Bay Visitor Center for the Indigenous Arts & Cultural Demonstration Program featuring Diane Trahant, a Shoshone-Bannock artist from Fort Hall Indian Reservation, with guests, Juan and Josie Broncho.
When Diane was a teenager, she wanted to learn how to make dance regalia. The same tribal mentors who taught her mother, Josie, taught her traditional beadwork art and styles. For Diane, learning how to bead ensures the tradition continues, and it is a priceless gift that she can pass down to her children. She keeps cultural designs and traditions alive through her beaded wallets, earrings, moccasins, medallions, and various regalia items.
Grand Teton National Park is important to Diane because it was a place that provided for her people. Today, it provides visitors from around the world with a connection to nature that encourages preserving it for our future.
