Today is Day. Tonight, we will be bathing The Wall in orange candlelight at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial site to 'Bring Light' to the ongoing effects and loss due to this horrible chemical.

On August 7th, we honor the courage, service, and sacrifice of every Purple Heart recipient. 💜

What is the Purple Heart? It's one of America's oldest military decorations, awarded to service members who are wounded or killed in action. Their bravery and dedication will never be forgotten.

Each year, MVAD offers a $1,000 scholarship for eligible students. 🎓 If you or someone you know qualifies, we encourage you to apply or share this opportunity.

Who is MVAD and what do we do? 💭

After WWI, many veterans returned home without a support system. The State of Montana recognized that those who served weren’t receiving the care they needed, so MVAD was created — and since 1919, we’ve been supporting Montana Veterans and providing the services they earned at no cost.

We serve Montana Veterans through three key areas:
• Veteran Services Bureau
• Cemetery Services Bureau
• Centralized Administrative Office

If you’re a veteran, or know someone who could benefit from our services, we’re here to support them and their loved ones.

Last week, MVAD was honored to join as part of the Department of Military Affairs for its first-ever “Headquarters for a Day” in Great Falls 🇺🇸.

Attendees connected with the missions and partnerships that keep Montana ready—from emergency response and disaster preparedness to veteran services and youth development. Thank you to all who participated, and we look forward to more opportunities to share our mission statewide.

Behind the scenes at our Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Fort Harrison. 🎥🇺🇸 Volunteers helped us film a new commercial highlighting the honor, tradition, and respect that go into each of our dignified resting places.
