The power outage is happening this coming Tuesday!

Fort Hood will conduct an Energy Resilience Readiness Exercise (ERRE) in order to test the post's emergency systems. On this day, electrical power to nearly the entire installation will be cut. This power outage will last at least eight hours, not to exceed 12 hours.

Neither Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center nor Robert Gray Army Airfield should be affected by this exercise.

During Rifles Forge, Tiger SQDNs Mortar PLT deployed to the field and got after it refining their fundamentals. The Platoon honed there skills, incorporating infantry battle drills with rapid mounted and dismounted MFP emplacement / displacement under timed conditions. Crews were evaluated on their abilities to successfully demonstrate all fundamental tasks in a final exercise.

TIGER SQDN’s Scout Platoon conducts planning and mission preparation for an Air Assault in Support of Rifles Forge. The platoon demonstrated their prowess in air assault planning and ex*****on followed by an undetected dismounted reconnaissance against an extremely capable OPFOR. Drive the fight.

This past week, the Tiger Scout Platoon deployed to the field to conduct live fires. The Platoon tested its Squad leaders and Team leaders on their ability to employ their scouts (mounted and dismounted) in a heavily contested environment, fight for information and win.

***COVID-19 vaccine available Tuesday, Feb.9***
The first day down, and we're ready for tomorrow. If you are a DOD beneficiary in Phase 1A, 1B, 1C, it's your turn to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Stop by Abrams gym from 8 an - 4 pm Tuesday, Feb.9, to get the vaccine.

Phase 1C includes:
++Eligible beneficiaries age 65-74 years of age

++OSD, Agencies, field activities, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force, U.S. Coast Guard, and Reserve Component, designated as key, essential, or mission essential.

Phase 1B includes:
++Beneficiaries age 75 and older
++Front line essential workers
++Personnel preparing to deploy within the next three months ++Personnel preparing to deploy outside the continental U.S.
++National critical capabilities

Phase 1A includes:
++Emergency room/urgent care center/and first responders
++Health care and support personnel at military hospitals and clinics
++Outpatient health care support personnel, including National Guard and Reserve personnel, and deploying or supporting COVID-19 response operations.
