🏆💥 The 62nd Engineer Battalion Takes Home the Castle Cup! 💥🏆

What an incredible week for our Soldiers as we dominated Engineer Week and reclaimed the Castle Cup from our sister battalion, the Lumberjacks of 20th Engineer Battalion! 💪🔥

From the courts to the field, the river to the ring, we proved that Hammer Soldiers are built for more than just construction – we're a force to be reckoned with in every fight! Whether it was Basketball, Softball, Frisbee, Combatives, Soccer, the 5k run, or honoring the sacrifices our nations heroes made all those years ago in Operation Dragoon and on 9/11, our Soldiers showed the heart and determination that define the Hammer Battalion.
Special thanks to everyone who made this week a success, and to the Lumberjacks for the fierce and honorable competition. The Castle Cup is back where it belongs – with the Hammers! 🏰💥

Rugged Wish applications are open for the Hammer Battalion!

The Rugged Wish Program supports the youngest members of our Rugged BDE by providing families struggling with significant financial hardship with necessity items (winter coats, clothing, shoes, diapers, baby wipes, etc.) during the holiday season.

If you are assigned to 62nd EN BN and your family experiences financial hardship, please contact your company command team to see if you're eligible for a nomination.

Applications close in a few short weeks so don't delay!

Hey Hammers! Here's a few highlights from the good training happening from 104th Engineer Company "Titans" at their FTX this week. They're moving dirt, learning about EA DEV, and practicing their combatives moves. Go Titans!

Last Friday, our Soldiers competed in a Hammer Ball tournament, where teams would run a football and frisbee game at the same time! While we have no new profiles to report, some egos were definitely bruised. Congratulations to our winners, 104th Engineer Company "Titans" 🏅

Some recent changes in the Hammer Battalion...

68th ECC and 74th MRBC held their Change of Command Ceremonies to formally transfer authority from the previous (CPT Habiger, 68th; CPT Miller, 74th) to the incoming commanders (CPT Wilson, 68th; CPT Johnston, 74th).

To the previous commanders- thank you for your guidance and leadership during your time. You have left the unit better than how you found it. To the incoming commanders- we are excited to see you tackle this responsibility. Hammer soldiers could not be in better hands!

Thank you to the spouses, families, and friends who showed out to support.

Hope everyone had a happy Fourth of July weekend! Here's a throwback to our Battalion Ball that took place on Friday, June 27th.

Thank you to our Guest Speaker, SGM Floyd Dailey, for sharing this night with us and leaving our Soldiers with inspiring words of wisdom.

Congratulations to our de Fleury Medal awardees, as well as our reenlisting Soldiers. Be all you can be!

We especially want to thank the families and distinguished guests who attended in support of our Soldiers. You made the night unforgettable.
