Scalpel Troopers have been busy prepping, deploying, and training at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA. The troop was able
to exercise deployment functions and it also allowed our Junior leaders to conduct Pre Combat Checks/inspections (PCC/PCI) and enforce the Troop Tactical Standing Operating Procedures (TACSOP).

Send good vibes to Scalpel Troop while they continue to train!

Today Scapel bid a final farewell to the previous Scalpel 7, MSG Polynice. As stated in the change of responsibility: the 1SG is the keeper of the guidon. Wherever the guidon is, the 1SG is there too. So her farewell gift was the Troop guidon along with a limited edition Scalpel Coin numbered #1.

MSG Polynice was also awarded her retirement award. The RSS, 3d Cavalry Regiment "Muleskinner" SCO, LTC Octavia Davis, presented the prestigious Legion of Merit to MSG Polynice for her 20 years of service. You will be missed!

The Scalpel Team did it!

On April 22nd, Scalpel Troop participated in the 3d Cavalry Regiment Brave Rifles Competition that honored the Soldiers who fought in the battle of Cerro Gordo on April 18th, 1847.

Scalpel Troop represented Muleskinner Squadron in a competition that challenged our Troopers physically and mentally. Scalpel Troop won 1st place and received the Regimental Commander PT Excellence streamer.

Scalpel Troop is proud of all the leaders and Soldiers who participated and demonstrated their commitment to the mission. Winning Matters!
