LIGHTNING WARRIOR 6 and 7 recently visited the U.S. Army’s LIGHTNING WARRIORS on three continents, engaging Soldiers who deliver premier, expeditionary communications in support of USSOUTHCOM and USCENTCOM, while beginning coordination to posture the battalion for upcoming support to USEUCOM.

The trip focused on key leader engagements to shape support to the Warfighter, set the theater, and build combat-ready, lethal formations—while reinforcing the competence, discipline, and can-do attitude that define LIGHTNING WARRIORS wherever they operate. The BIG DOGS earned their THUNDERBIRD combat patches during a ceremony—and yes… there was PT along the way.

"NORAD Tracks Santa" is a holiday tradition that started with an accidental typo in a newspaper almost 70 years ago, but has now grown into a massive volunteer operation.
