Last Friday, 23 June, 2023, U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Keaton O'Rourke, a maintenance supervisor in the III Armored Corps Materiel Readiness Center, was conferred upon the Honorable Order of Samuel Sharpe.

Kind words were spoken of O'Rourke's resourcefulness and humility. 13th Armored Corps Sustainment Command's Command Sgt. Maj. James LaFratta recounted the circumstances he was similarly inducted into the order, and wished a likewise good experience for O'Rourke.

O'Rourke will exit the Ordnance corps and soon begin his journey in the United States Recruiting Command.

Yesterday, U.S. Army Cpt. Jonathan K. Ng was promoted to the rank of major by Brig. Gen. Sean P. Davis.

Davis encouraged Maj. Ng that a new foot should be placed forward as his career transitions as a new field-grade officer. He presented Ng with the ’s horse shoe charm, and “coined” Maj. Ng’s son in proxy, who was unable to attend.

Yesterday, U.S. Army Cpt. Tyson L. Friar was presented with his retirement certificate and awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by Brig. General Sean P. Davis. Davis also "coined" Friar's family, an informal Army tradition of thanks.

Friar will have completed 20 years of service ranging from 2003 to 2023.

In his acceptance speech, he recognized his god, his family, and his teammates for their support and guidance. His teammates spoke fondly of his musical abilities, Will Ferrel quotes, and speechwriting talent.
