Trooper of the Month

DEC 2025: SPC Monreal (HHB, DIVARTY)

Congratulations to SPC Monreal for outstanding performance, professionalism, and dedication to the mission. Your hard work and commitment to the team do not go unnoticed—keep setting the standard!

About SPC Monreal:

MOS: 35F

He is from Ft Benning, Georgia. He joined the army to explore possible future careers, and to meet and see new people and places.
His favorite thing about his MOS is getting the opportunity to see and brief current events going around the world. As well as getting to do actual intelligence during real world missions and exercises. Some advice he would give is “To always keep your head up and keep your legs moving and keep a good attitude. It will suck at times but those times eventually come to an end.”

Strong teams aren’t built without tension—they’re built by leaders who know how to handle it. On 15 DEC, senior leaders from DIVARTY gathered at Topgolf Austin to engage in a leader professional development hosted by the DIVARTY Brigade Chaplain focused on conflict management and leading with purpose. III Corps Chaplain was the guest speaker and guided the group through multiple first-hand experiences of dealing with conflict management

On 8 December, DIVARTY sponsored a Prayer Breakfast with Troopers from around the Brigade. 1CD Chaplain LTC Willie Newton was the guest speaker for the event and the 1CD band played holiday music during the breakfast. It was a good time had by all and a reminder of what this season is truly about. A special thanks goes out to DIVARTY’s own Chaplain (MAJ) Perticone for putting on this special event. RED TEAM! WIN WITH FIRES!

Huge congratulations to the 1-82 FA “Dragons” for bringing home the Turkey Bowl trophy for the FIRST time since the Field Artillery Battalions were reconsolidated under DIVARTY!

The Dragons showed grit, teamwork, and relentless determination from kickoff to the final whistle—proving once again why they remain one of the most disciplined and cohesive formations in the Division. This win isn’t just about a game; it’s a reflection of the culture, pride, and fighting spirit within 1-82 FA.

Outstanding job to all the Troopers, leaders, and supporters who brought the energy and represented the Dragons with pride.

1st Cavalry Division Artillery (DIVARTY) leadership proudly stepped behind the serving line this Thanksgiving, taking time to serve dinner to the Troopers of the 1st Cavalry Division.

Moments like these reflect what it truly means to be part of the First Team—leaders who serve with humility, gratitude, and genuine care for their Soldiers. Whether on the line, in the field, or in the dining facility, DIVARTY continues to embody the spirit of selfless service and the deep bond that makes this formation exceptional.

Thank you to our Troopers and Families whose dedication and sacrifice fuel the strength of the Division. Happy Thanksgiving from the Red Team and the entire 1st Cavalry Division!
