The United States Army Network Enterprise Technology Command held a rededication ceremony for the Signal Cove of Remembrance at NETCOM Headquarters today, honoring Signal Soldiers, civilians, and contractors who gave their lives in service to the nation. The event took place outside and inside Greely Hall and was hosted by NETCOM Commanding General, Maj. Gen. Jacqueline Denise McPhail.

NETCOM Command Sergeant Major, Command Sgt. Maj. Michael J. Runk, joined the command team and dignitaries from the state of Arizona and the city of Sierra Vista in a ceremony that combined formal military honors with a moment of reflection. The Cove features a Wall of Remembrance, custom glass artwork, a bronze eagle and Liberty Bell, and a Signal Torch representing the enduring courage of the Signal Corps.

A memorial wreath was placed in the Cove and displayed alongside portraits of the fallen and recently lost Soldiers who will be formally inducted at next year’s ceremony. The visual tribute underscored the costs of service and the continuing mission to remember and inspire present and future Signaleers.

The program included a reading of 107 names from the Wall of Remembrance, the playing of Taps, and an invocation. Organizers asked attendees to observe a period of silence as the official party laid the wreath and paid respects.

Command leaders framed the rededication as both a tribute to sacrifice and a call to renewed unity, professionalism, and care for service members and their families. The ceremony concluded with a reminder to guests to sign the Cove guest book and to carry forward the legacy of those honored within the memorial.

Attention U.S. Army Personnel: Important Mobile Connectivity Update.

The U.S. Army is modernizing its mobile communications and officially transitioning from the Defense Mobility Unclassified Capability (DMUC) program to the new Army Mobility Program (AMP).
Deadline: May 30, 2026. After this date, DISA will cease support for all Army DMUC devices.

What you need to do:

1️. Disenroll your government-furnished equipment (GFE) mobile devices.
2. Turn them in to your local Telephone Control Officer (TCO) before May 30. (Exceptions require General Officer/SES approval).

What's next?

The primary method for staying connected is the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. Using secure applications like Hypori and Mobile Application Management (MAM), you can access an encrypted workspace on your personal device without carrying a second phone. The Army’s monitoring is strictly limited to these secure apps, keeping your personal data completely private!

As Lt. Gen. Jeth Rey, Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6, noted: "The Army Mobility Program gives our people a more flexible, secure and user-friendly way to stay connected to the mission..."
