Last Saturday night was truly memorable. We gathered for an intimate Dining Out to honor the rich history of our organization while also preparing for its future closure, a moment filled with pride, reflection, and gratitude. The evening was made even more special as we celebrated the 250th Birthday of the United States Army, reminding us of the legacy we are privileged to serve.

The event was deeply meaningful in every way. Our former Chief Instructor, MSG Nelson, who is projected to attend the SGM Academy, delivered a powerful and inspiring speech that resonated with all in attendance. SFC Starks and MSG Hladasz were proudly awarded the Senior Instructor Badge, recognizing their excellence and dedication.

We also honored our partners and supporters: Mr. Dan Petrosky, our local MFLC representative, and CPT Johnson, the 3rd BDE Chaplain, received Certificates of Appreciation for their continued support. SFC Santos, our S1 NCO, was awarded the COL Robert L. Manning Achievement Medal for outstanding service and dedication to the AG Corps.

Special recognition was given to MAJ Hoag, our Commandant, and CW4 Hinkle, our outgoing Support Maintenance Technician, who both received the well-earned Order of Samuel Sharpe. In a touching moment, the Keepers of the Flame were presented to Mrs. Hinkle, honoring her relentless support to the Ordnance Corps.

Our incoming Support Maintenance Technician, CW4 Martinez, captured the spirit of the evening ideally by sharing the following words with all our staff:

“An event of this magnitude normally requires a committee, a large budget, and extensive planning—but we accomplished it without all of that because of you. I will always cherish this Dining Out, and I hope you do too.”

This Dining Out was a true testament to teamwork, commitment, and family. It is a night that will be cherished for years to come. Thank you to everyone who made it possible.
