Rotation 25-07 is concluded and during it, Slugs found themselves conducting the Breakfast Q at Midby’s Lagoon. This 17 team PID is named in honor of SFC Allan Midby BB8, S17 and S11B Ancient. SFC Midby used to go fishing for TOADs with a
chem light IVO Red Lake Pass.

During this breakfast queue, the slugs were honored with the presence of Outlaw 01 who proudly held Gary during the team photo.

As this rotation ends, the team would like to recognize MSG Sergio Rodriguez (17B) as the OC of the rotation. His amazing coaching, and hard work pays dividends to the RTU.

Additionally, pictured is the tradition of Scorpion 07 giving the player unit (3-8 CAV “Warhorse”) a rock to take home. And one day the desert will cease to exist.

Last scorpions would like to recognize 17’s (bb # 1064) spouse (Laura Dalton) for earning her family brass!!

Rotation 25-06 is concluded and during it, Slugs found themselves conducting the Breakfast Q at Carey’s Cut.

This 12 team PID originally known as Hoss’s Hole. A reading from the Scrawls: “...But alas, the Law of Murphy did come to pass and those that thought they had prepared were not. For the slugs of the kingdom of Plans and Operations had requisitioned neither batteries nor ammunition for the OPFOR. But the man known to all as Hoss had a plan, and the Land of Irwin echoed with the sound of "Bang, Bang."

Scorpions were thrilled to have BG Peter Glass (S02T, S12, S03A, and S03(a); BB # 683) visit the Scorpion team recently! He took a tour of the Slug Pen and added his signature to our sign. BG Glass unfortunately forgot his brass and was discovered when S3B did a brass check, and thus did cheerfully pay the $5 fine. It's always great to see ancients come back and interact with the current members. GREEN TEAM!

Scorpion bb # 415 (GEN Brito) casually saying what's up to Scorpion 07. Unknown at the time but he did admit later that he did not have his belt buckle on him! Would have been $5 Dollars!

This month, the month of Saint Patrick's Day, we recognize Mackey's Irish Pub as our PID of the month. Thi sPID is dedicated in honor of LTC Thomas Mackey (Scorpion 07, BB #765) "Whackey Mackey"

In the Scrawls BB765 is famioulsy quoted saying “Does anyone else know these guys are this bad?" The items that are at the PID were brought to the PID by the Primaries of the Mackey to help him during his time as Bronco 07.

This month's Scrawls post comes from the 7th chapter of the 9th Book: Lieferman Liturgy.

“The Birth of A Legend”

Even as the Slugs had seen the Harry One grow into his own...it was the rotation of 6 and 96 that the legend was born. For it was that rotation that the Slugs were again visited by the vile Colorado Haggits. Indeed, the rotation of “We won't learn and you can't make us.”

And the Slugs were sorely tested as the haggits died...and died and died. And the haggit did seek our counsel but would only forget it...even though the head toad (a wearer of three stars) did tell them... “don't worry about winning or losing...worry about listening to your O/Cs.”

But they would not listen...and as the lord of darkness sent his flying, monkey flunkey through the toad's defense, the task force
commander sought the one called 27's counsel.… “How (he asked) have other units done this” ... only to have 27 reply... ”Well, to start with, most units have obstacles in their engagement area.”

Recently, our dedicated Department of the Army Civilians (DACs) from the TAFF (belt buckle #948, #949, #950, #1023) who do soo much work behind the scenes, took some much needed leave together to attend their own Scorpion DAC Convention at Casa Bonito in Denver.

During their convention the DACs sharpened their skills and updated their DACSOPs to keep things fresh with brute force and ignorance!!!

With the return from the Holidays, start of the new year, and the bringing of colder months, this month's Scrawls post comes from Chapter 11 of the 11th Book, Bertha’s Beatitudes.

Chapter 11

“The Romulan Neutral Zone” or “Can We Ever Cross Barstow Road?”

1. And in Rotation 98-07 the Slugs did once again mount their Hum of Vees, with their Gods of Gun and Keys of Green. And they went forth into the wilderness to pass on their knowledge and wisdom. And as the Texas Haggit returned to the land of Irwin, they brought with them the weather of bad and winds of cold. For it was after the first night in the desert, many a Slug was seen flying back to the land of Irwin to re-adjust his Plan of Load.

The Green Team

The Scorpion team observes, coaches, and trains units ranging from platoons to battalions within a complex decisive action training environment. Scorpions capture individual and collective unit planning, preparation, and ex*****on for formal and informal feedback and analysis at the SQDN/BN/TF, TRP/CO/TM, and PLT levels throughout the rotation. We assist commanders in developing trained, competent leaders and Soldiers. We identify unit-training deficiencies and strengths and provide feedback to improve the force and prepare for future operations through the use of dialogue, TTP/SOP recommendations, and training and evaluation outlines based on standard unit mission essential tasks.
