ADOPTION ALERT
MWE "Charger" has been retired from the Detachment and is ready for adoption. Charger is a 14 y/o Quarterhorse Gelding standing at 15.1 hands and 1300 lbs. Charger is a dependable, honest horse who proved himself as a level 2 and level 1 champion repeatedly at the National Cavalry Competitions. Charger is gun-broke and as solid as horses come. We often refer to his as "bomb-proof." He doesn't spook, buck, or bolt. He is very safe and was often depended upon to train new riders in the program.

Unfortunately, Charger's conformation doesn't support continued use in a historic cavalry saddle. With a custom fitted western saddle and a lighter rider, Charger will make a great horse for flat work or a faithful pasture companion.

Interested parties should email the Detachment at [email protected] to get the application paperwork or address any questions. Applications will be accepted now through the 13th of November.
