Dear FKES Families,

You may have seen or heard about our district’s new initiative, “We Are Warriors.” I wanted to take a moment to share what this means for our Fort Kent Elementary School community.

At FKES, being a Warrior is about much more than sports. It’s about the way our students show kindness, try their best, and keep going even when things feel challenging. It’s about learning from mistakes, helping one another, and taking pride in who we are as a school family.

Every day, I see Warrior spirit in our building:

Students showing respect and responsibility

Teachers and staff going above and beyond to support children

Families partnering with us to help students grow

Small moments of courage, effort, and kindness that make a big difference

The We Are Warriors message celebrates all of that. It reminds our students that being a Warrior means showing heart, effort, and pride—whether that’s in the classroom, on the playground, on the bus, or at home.

Over the coming months, you’ll see us highlighting positive moments, student successes, and stories that reflect the strong values we work to build every day at FKES. Our goal is to help students feel proud of who they are and confident in the choices they make.
