Comprised of four Combined Arms Training Brigades and one Multi-Functional Training Brigade, First Army Division East – as part of First Army – provides the trained and ready reserve component forces necessary to meet the needs of combatant commanders around the world. The division and its subordinate units are uniquely staffed by active and reserve component Soldiers certified as observer coach/trainers, or OC/Ts, who assist, advise, coach, mentor, teach and provide collective training support to meet Department of the Army mandated training requirements.
