Today we wish our Deputy Chief Alex Swearer good luck in his endeavors. Deputy Chief Swearer brought great ideas and a unique mindset to policing. His ideas have led to so many community policing concepts to ensure that the community got the best of the officers. The next deputy chief will have big shoes to fill. You will be missed.

We are starting to see a steep increase in issues at our gates. We are needing everyone’s help to mitigate this saving you and us the headache of additional paperwork. When coming through the gates remember these things.

1. Allow the vehicle to exit the lane allowing time for the gate arm to properly cycle.

2. Scan your card at pedestal or by the guard.

3. Exit the lane in a timely manner paying attention to the gate arm to ensure it is out of the way.

If everyone can take time to do these 3 things, it will help us from having to delay you from your destination.

Please join us in a round of applause recognizing 14 years of service with the Fort Knox Police CPT Averill. His tenure has allowed him to touch so many lives while service as a Traffic OIC, Watch Commander and Special Reaction Team Leader. Your leadership and friendship will be missed. We wish you well in your new adventures.

Congratulations to LT Beshears in your recognition for your hard work with the 23 hunting season. It’s officers like you that allow us to give the best product and service to the U.S. Army Fort Knox community.

With protecting Fort Knox, Fort Knox Fort Police and Fort Knox Fire Department consistently train for the unexpected. Our officers, firefighters and EMS personnel have spent the last two weeks training and refining our capabilities when it comes to active violence training. Great results continue to come from this group and we are able to continue to grow with new members being added to our teams.

Feb 11th at 1800hrs, watch as these two teams do battle for the covenanted Lombardi trophy. If you do not have a place watch the game, Fort Knox Family and MWR has you covered. The big game will be showing at Sam Adam's Brewhouse with doors opening at 1700. They will have big door prizes that will be given away. While enjoying the big game and being with friends and family, remember to use good judgement and have a plan to get home.

Who do you have winning it all?

Please be careful out on the roads.

*REMOVE ICE & SNOW BEFORE YOU GO*
Driving without removing snow and ice from your car becomes VERY dangerous for anyone following behind them. Once you pick up speed, the snow and ice break away from your vehicle, flying off into another motorist's path. Please take a few minutes to remove all snow and ice from your car before venturing out.

Good morning U.S. Army Fort Knox , Kentucky community. It is that time of year when we have less than festive individuals playing the role of the Grinch. They are accomplishing this by damaging outdoor Christmas decorations, cutting lights, and stealing packages.

The Fort Knox Police need the community’s help to stop the little Grinches and keep our community safe. We have and will continue to show an increased presence in our residential areas to deter criminal activity, including vandalism. We ask parents to remind their young ones to not participate in any activities that are contradictory to Army Values when they are out enjoying their well-deserved break from school, and if they see others being mischievous they should let a parent know right away.

Please make sure you keep your home and vehicles locked valuables out of plain sight in your vehicles. Ask a friend or neighbor to bring packages in for you while you are working or away. Have a safe and festive 2023 holiday season and don’t forget to report any suspicious activity to the Fort Knox Police.

U.S. Army Fort Knox , Kentucky community; don’t let the Grinch ruin your Holliday season. A few crime prevention tips from the Fort Knox Police.

Ensure you do not leave packages outside, if you’re not home ask a neighbor to hold onto them until you get home.

If you are out make sure you park your car in a well lit area, keep valuables and shopping bags out of sight, and secure your vehicle. Maintain situational awareness when walking around shopping centers and parking lots, and always remember if something doesn’t look or feel right follow your instincts. If you see something suspicious, report it to the police. Stay safe this holiday season.
