We invite you to join us here each week during Lent for scripture. Our scripture ficus this week is prayer.

The Lenten season began yesterday with Ash Wednesday and ends the Saturday before Easter Aunday. Lent is a time of waiting and preparing for Easter. As we journey through the Lenten season towards Easter Sunday and the celebration of the resurrection of Christ, we will be posting scripture. Our hope is it provides you a tool for reflection and helps you grow in your faith. Different Christian traditions mark the Lenten season in different ways and using different themes. The scriptures posted will focus on the most common themes of Lent: Prayer, Fasting, Self Examination/Repentance, Self Denial/Suffering, Almgiving/Charity, and finally specific scripture focused on Jesus’ activities each day of Holy Week. Join us as we journey to the empty tomb.

Currently, all regular scheduled religious services will occur on Sunday, February 1. All chapel lots are plowed, and sidewalks and steps are cleared and salted. Please check official Fort Knox social media for up-to-the-date information regarding post delays enclosures. Remember to take necessary precautions as you decide whether to attend services on Sunday. If your roads look dangerous, please stay home and stay safe.
