Today the future Governor of Florida, Byron Donalds, announced his running mate Senator Bryan Avila.

Many of you may be asking, who is Bryan Avila?

Senator Bryan Avila most recently represented Florida Senate District 39 in Miami-Dade County and previously served as Speaker Pro Tempore of the Florida House from 2020–2022.

During his time in the Legislature, Senator Avila has championed civics education, tax relief, health care legislation, and policies supporting Florida’s veterans and military families.

Apart from his legislative achievements, Bryan is the son of Cuban immigrants, he was born and raised in Miami-Dade County and has dedicated much of his life to public service. He is a husband, father, and Florida Army National Guard officer who continues to serve the community he calls home.

Who is Bryan Avila? We’re glad you asked!
Bryan Avila was most recently a Florida Senator representing District 39 in Miami-Dade County. He has protected our state during some of the most critical times this nation has seen. Before his time in the Florida Senate, Bryan Avila was formerly the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives from 2020-2022.

Outside of his legislative accomplishments, Bryan Avila was born and raised by Dade-County, the son of Cuban immigrants, he is a husband, a father, an academic dean, an Army Captain, and a long time local public servant in Dade County.

Florida will be lucky to have Byron and Bryan on the same ticket! The Republican Party of Florida is the future of Florida.

The Broward Young Republicans, Southwest Florida Young Republicans, and Palm Beach Young Republicans were proud to come together to host the Congressional District 22 Republican Debate, giving voters the opportunity to hear directly from the candidates seeking to be their next voice in Congress.

Every qualified Republican candidate was invited to participate, with David Burck, Michael Carbonara, Richard Evans, and Terri Hasdorff joining us on stage.

With 100+ attendees, candidates tackled the issues that matter most to our communities - from water quality and property taxes to term limits, immigration, and conservative priorities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to get informed, ask the important questions, and hear firsthand from those seeking to represent CD-22 in Washington. 🇺🇸
