From student to driving operational change
America’s School for War celebrated 951 graduates of the unrivaled Command and General Staff Officer Course May 29, 2026. Lt. Gen. Jim Isenhower, Commanding General, Combined Arms Command and Fort Leavenworth, during his commencement address, challenged graduates to not only create leadership philosophies reflective of balance, but to bring them to life through personal example. Their example and steady, decisive leadership could forge the future of service.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. Lead with distinction.

At a special Master’s Hooding Ceremony, more than 50 CGSOC students were hooded, symbolizing their 10-month commitment to stewarding the profession through scholarship. The students’ hoods represented those who completed a Master of Military Art and Science degree, which includes research, writing, and the defense of a topic rooted in reforming the force.
