The Ordnance Corps Association Statement of Purpose
The purpose of the U.S. Ordnance Corps Association is fourfold:

1. To promote the professional educational development of its members.

To promote the development, production, acquisition and support of weapons systems, ammunition, missiles and ground mobility material through research, quality education and the dissemination of research, educational material and knowledge of the military arts and sciences, with special attention to the role of the Ordnance Corps in ground warfare.

2. To support the mission of the U.S. Ordnance

Corps Museum, at Fort Lee, Virginia

4. To foster and preserve, through educational and scholarship programs, the spirit, traditions, heritage, and history of the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps. Statement of Objectives
On 1 October 1985, the Executive Council of the U.S. Ordnance Corps Association approved eleven objectives designed to guide the Association’s efforts to achieve its purposes:

1. To Support the Chief of Ordnance in strengthening the image of the Branch in the eyes of internal and external publics.

2. To assist in supporting the Ordnance Corps Museum at the “Home of Ordnance,” Fort Lee, Virginia.

3. To provide an efficient organizational mechanism, guidelines and membership
incentives for the Association’s local chapters worldwide.

4. To support Association local chapters in their community relations efforts that promote the Ordnance Corps.

5. To encourage defense industry involvement in Association activities.

6. To work with other organizations in promoting the United States Army.

7. To provide various communicative means for keeping all Ordnance Soldiers—past,
present and future, actively involved in association developments.

8. To support local chapters in their efforts to develop their members professionally.

9. To provide resource support for the recognition of outstanding Soldiers,
noncommissioned officers, officers and their spouses at the Association’s local-chapter level.

10. To act as an official point of contact for Association-related customs, traditions and initiatives.

11. To support the preservation of equipment and memorabilia to the activities of the Association.

ACCESS to the TSF (Ordnance Museum on Fort Lee) through the Route 36 Gate is temporarily closed. Access is only available from the Main Post entrance at Shop Road. The USAOCA Kiosk is only open for main events at the TSF.

The association attended the Military Fine Art Charity Gala hosted by COL-R Michael Solovey, USA, at the Virginia War Memorial on 18 Nov, honoring his collection of military art. His artwork will remain on display at the memorial until Memorial Day.

Out of consideration for scheduling and participation updates, the Ordnance Corps Association Golf Tournament originally scheduled for October 31, 2025 has been postponed.

✅ The new date will be May 2026 – final details and registration updates will be announced soon.

Happy 250th Birthday to the U.S. Army. Yesterday, Leaders from all echelons (state and military) of government gathered on Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia to celebrate the Army’s birthday and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps Museum. Visitors can now access the museum from public access off Route 36 near the base’s main gate.
