Excellent work, Nighthawks!!
The command team that planks together stays together and we are #strongertogether. QM6 was out rooting on QM7 during today’s ACFT! Great work Night Hawk team for executing another stellar event.
Please be aware for possible black bear in the area and take all recommendated actions. Stay safe!
A black bear has been spotted at the Blackwater Swamp earlier this week. Fort Lee biologists suspect the Blackwater River led the bear to our installation and may lead him off the installation, but until then we should take extra precautions. Please bring in all bird seed, water bowls, pools, food bowls, fountains, and pets. Secure trash in cans and dumpsters with lids and bring garbage cans into garages when possible. Please monitor all pet activities and keep them on leashes. Although black bears are generally docile, they are still wild animals looking for food and water. If you see the bear, stay away from it, and report sightings to the MPs at 804-734-7400.
Today SPC Dennis committed to remaining in army. SPC Dennis works in our DSTE section training the AIT Soldiers out at QMFTX, and is a great asset to the team. Congratulations from your Night Hawk family, 266th Quartermaster Battalion & the 23RD Quartermaster Brigade.

Nighthawks with high school graduates this year check out the post below.
The PAO is continuing its long-standing tribute to high school graduates.
Submissions are now being accepted for the installation’s 2021 High School Graduation Tribute, which will be presented in an online digital format this year.
Long-featured each June in the post newspaper – production of which ceased at the end of January – the tribute is an opportunity to shine the spotlight on youths of our community who have demonstrated perseverance, self-discipline and, in many cases, courage to complete their grade-school journeys.
Photo submissions should be copyright-free (if taken by a studio or commercial vendor), well-lit, in-focus and saved in jpeg format. For the best display quality, the photo should be no smaller than 3-by-5 inches. Parents who do not have a photo of their graduate can make arrangements with the Public Affairs Office staff to have one taken.
The following items are needed to participate in the tribute:
• Head-and-shoulders photo of each graduate
• First and last name of each student and each parent
• The parent’s place of duty and military rank, if applicable
• Student’s age and high school
• A telephone number to be used (but not published) if additional information is needed.
Materials can be submitted via email to [email protected]. For hand delivery, the PAO is located in the CASCOM headquarters, building 5020, room 4014, at the corner of Lee and A avenues. For questions, contact the PAO staff at 804-734-6948 or 734-7147.

Garrison Commander's Safety Message
If you decide to travel this year, remember to plan ahead by ensuring your vehicle is in good running condition and prepared for winter weather. Check the forecast and road conditions and always get plenty of rest before hitting the road. Additionally, many services may be unavailable; plan accordingly for the unexpected. Even those remaining in the local area for the Thanksgiving holiday need to be extra alert. It only takes a moment's inattention to become an accident victim. Drive defensively, don’t drink and drive, and don’t be a distracted driver.
