Not an hour after our training seminar on basement fires concluded, the Fort Lee Fire Department was dispatched to respond mutual aid to the Boro of Leonia for a working fire. FL-7, FL-9 and Ladder 1 responded. A fire that happened to be a basement fire. Great job by all.

This morning, the Fort Lee Fire Department hosted two East Bergen Mutual Aid legends to further our education. Jersey Guys, John Lewis and Rob Moran instructed a packed house on Basement Fires. We would also like to thank our East Bergen Mutual Aid brothers and sisters who joined us for the training. We look forward to having both back in town in the near future for more training.

At approximately midnight, members from Hook and Ladder Co3 and FL-9 responded mutual aid to the Borough of Fairview for a 4th alarm fire in an occupied dwelling. Members were released at approximately 03:00 am.

It is with deep regret that I announce the passing of Ex-Chief and Life Member of Hook and Ladder Co #3, Thomas J. Schnackenberg. Funeral service details will be forthcoming once arranged.

Tommy Schnack was a Ladder Co. 3 legend and decorated Vietnam veteran. May he Rest in Peace in the arms of our Lord.
