Instructor positions provide the opportunity to affect the future of our career field and the trajectory of your career. The 368th TRS at Fort Leonard Wood has many new faces, and our cohesive goal is to enhance the standard of training for apprentice students as well as our TDY students. We are doing this through updates to curricula, integrating new technology, and investing in the development of our instructors. This development plan focuses heavily on attaining certifications that will help separate you from your peers at promotion boards and bolster your resume when you leave the military.
Instructors at the schoolhouse will go through a new development schedule qualifying you for a “T-code” prefix, 2nd CCAF degree in Instructor of Technology and Military Science, Army Basic Instructor Badge, Army Senior Instructor Badge, Army Achievement and Commendation Decorations in addition to Air and Space decorations, Community College of the Air Force Instructor Certification levels I, II, III, and an AETC Master Instructor Certification.
While we cannot guarantee deployments will not happen, all engineering instructors are currently being placed on a DAV 64 indicating we are mission critical personnel. This deployment availability indicator paired with a 3-year code 50, provides stability for individuals and families that would be near impossible to find anywhere else in the Air Force.
If you are interested in an instructing position, please contact MSgt Simons, MSgt Marquis Williams, or Mr. Cory Macdonald for any questions at 573-596-4833!
