Bravo Beast Family, some of you had some questions about mail and we want to make sure you have all the information that you need. We also want to go over some other important information. As the cycle progresses, we will continue to provide more information. Keep in mind that this is the only official source. You will never receive official information from an individual person's account.

In terms of the mail, you'll see that the first two pictures show you how to address mail correctly so that it gets to your Soldier as quickly as possible. If you do not yet know the rank of your Soldier, you can put PVT. Some of you have asked if "SIT" is their rank, but that is not the case. SIT is an acronym only used by families. The military does not use SIT. Your Soldiers are referred to as Trainees, or by their rank, until they officially earn the title of Soldier at the conclusion of Basic Training. If you do not yet know the platoon, you may leave that blank for now. You'll also notice that the third picture gives you an idea of the process to get mail to our Trainees.

The fourth and fifth pictures will give you an idea of the items that you can and cannot send.

The sixth picture gives you an overview of the Bravo Company Commander's Cell Phone Policy. Keep in mind that he may grant Trainees additional phone time on a case by case basis if there is an emergency at home, or if there is an issue at home that is time-sensitive, or that requires more time than is granted. Some examples would be to send money home, to deal with lease issues, etc. All issues will be addressed directly with your Soldier. We do not communicate directly with family members to address issues.

Lastly, you can refer to the seventh picture for information pertaining to emergencies that the American Red Cross deals with. For convenience, here is the link referenced in the picture: https://www.redcross.org/get-help/military-families/emergency-communication.html

Family and friends of One Station Unit Training (OSUT) Cycle 25-007, today our Trainees started their day with a one-mile assessment. This assessment will enable the Drill Sergeants to tailor upcoming running training to the Trainees' needs. They then tackled the Teamwork Development Course. This was our Trainees' first opportunity to learn how to work as a team and to problem-solve. This marks the official start of Red Phase for Cycle 25-007.

Please read this post carefully in its entirety before asking questions. This information ONLY applies to those of you who were told by your soldiers that they will graduate on Wednesday, November 20th. This only applies to 21 Soldiers. All other soldiers will have the normal Family Day on November 21st and Graduation on November 22nd.

21 soldiers will be graduating earlier, either because they are going to the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP) or because they are going to Airborne School. They are leaving Fort Leonard Wood early to ensure that they arrive at their next duty station in time for the last school start date before the holidays. Bravo Company does not have the ability to change this.

Graduation for those 21 soldiers will occur at the 35th Engineer Battalion Headquarters, which is located at 6100 Indiana Avenue. For those of you that are able to attend on the 20th, the 21 soldiers will graduate at 9am and they will have their Family Day following graduation. They will be required to return no later than 8pm that day. Please refer to the included map for the location of Bravo Company (6102 Indiana Avenue) in red, the location of the 35th Engineer Battalion Headquarters in blue, and the location of the authorized parking in green. You will then follow the path marked in green on the map to get to the headquarters.

We stand ready to answer any questions that you may have.

We recommend your travel plans account for potential traffic at the Main Gate and the West Gate. Please note that during peak times, it can take upwards of 30 minutes to get through the gate.

This past Friday, at the conclusion of the Combat Engineer Field Training Exercise (CEFTX), Bravo Company Soldiers took part in the Regimental Induction Ceremony (RIC). This ceremony took place at the Sapper Memorial Grove at Fort Leonard Wood. After a few words from the Commander, Bravo Company Drill Sergeants and Cadre prepared a grog consisting of a variety of ingredients, including Gatorade, energy drinks, Oreos, brown sugar, hot sauce, and pickle juice to represent milestones in the new Soldiers' journey during One Station Unit Training. After drinking from the grog, the Soldiers were welcomed into the Engineer Regiment as their Drill Sergeants pinned the Engineer Regimental Crest on the collars of each new Engineer Soldier.
