The graduation ceremony will be live-streamed today at 10am CST. As a heads up, we may do some tests between now and then to make sure we are able to successfully stream the most important event of Basic Combat Training, so you may see random short videos with nothing interesting pop up on your news feed. We will be sure to delete those afterwards to minimize confusion.

The live stream will be available on this page ONLY. It will show up once we begin streaming. If you see any comments on any of our posts claiming to have a link to the graduation, they are NOT us - they are scams. Please ignore them.

FAQs:

1. What time is Family Day/Graduation?
--- Family Day will start at 11:30am on October 4. Please meet your soldiers at Abrams Theater.
--- Graduation will begin at 10am on October 5. Please go to Abrams Theater for graduation.

2. What time should I get to the gate on Family Day/Graduation?
--- Since we are often not the only unit holding Family Day/Graduation on Fort Leonard Wood, the gates often become congested on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you know that you will need to enter the Visitor's Center to obtain passes, we recommend arriving at the gate within two hours of the event start time to account for how long it may take to get your passes and move through the line at the gate.

3. What do I need to enter Fort Leonard Wood?
--- If you HAVE a Real ID compliant form of identification AND you DO NOT plan to stay on the installation overnight, you DO NOT need to enter the Visitor's Center. You will only need to present your Real ID to the guard at the gate.
--- If you DO NOT have a Real ID compliant form of identification, OR if you HAVE a Real ID compliant form of identification and plan to stay on the installation OVERNIGHT, you will need to enter the Visitor's Center to obtain a pass. If you DO NOT have a Real ID compliant form of identification, you will be required to present a second form of identification at the Visitor's Center. They may include (but are not limited to) birth certificates and passports. For a full list of acceptable forms of additional identification, please call the Visitor's Center at (573) 596-0356.

Practice makes perfect - Echo Company is rehearsing for their big day to make their families proud!
In case you missed the previous announcements, Graduation will be held at ABRAMS THEATER on October 5 at 10am CST due to incoming thunderstorms. Abrams Theater and Gammon Field are located the same street, but Abrams Theater is further down, right next door to the USO building.
Family Day (October 4) will also be held at Abrams Theater.

Dearest families and friends,

Due to incoming thunderstorms, GRADUATION WILL TAKE PLACE AT ABRAMS THEATER instead of Gammon Field to ensure everyone is safe and stays dry during the ceremony. The date and time will remain the same. Abrams Theater is located further down Iowa Ave from Gammon Field and can be reached by following the same route as if you were going to Gammon Field (by following the blue line on the road from the Main Gate).

Meet the Iron Soldier (female) of Echo Company Class 047-23: SPC Achu!

SPC Achu holds the highest score in the entire Company on Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT - female division) and earned the title of Iron Soldier. She was born and raised in Nigeria, and she now proclaims Columbus, OH as her home. She is a proud member of 1st Platoon (Spartans). We asked her what motivates her to do better, and she said, "Every day when I wake up, I want to be a better version of myself, and I have nieces and nephews that look up to me. I always wanted to excel in life and never want to be mediocre. If there are people up the ladder, it means I can be better, too. I also want to make my parents proud".
