Crews responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Weld County Road 19 and Weld County Road 6. Upon arrival, a two-vehicle collision was found, with one occupant requiring extrication.

The intersection remains closed westbound for investigation. All parties were transported to a local hospital for care.

We would like to thank Mountain View Fire for their assistance on scene.

🚒 Crews responded to a multi-family structure fire in the 1000 block of Mountain View Ave. The fire has been extinguished, and firefighters are working on hot spots.
One patient was transported to a local hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Today, the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District is proud to welcome three new career firefighters to our team.
From left to right:
Firefighter Vonpierce Marshall, Firefighter Cameron Doell, and Firefighter Ben Nichols.
Each of these firefighters brings prior experience from other departments and will be participating in a two‑week mini academy as they transition into serving our community here in Fort Lupton.
We’re excited to have them on board and look forward to the knowledge, dedication, and experience they bring to our organization.

The Summer Sizzle 5K will be taking place on Saturday morning. Here are the traffic impacts are expected from 8 am to 10 am:

-Brief ‘rolling closures’, mainly impacting Rollie between 8:00 am to 9:00 am.
-CR 12 is closed from the United Power Station, eastbound to CR 29 for the race from 8:00 am - 9:30 am.
-The South parking lot for the Rec. Center (on Harrison) is closed until 9:30 am. Access to Community Park and the Splash Park is available on CR 12.

The 5K is sold out, but we'd love a crowd to cheer on our Summer Sizzle participants! We hope you'll come out and join us!

⚠️TRAVEL ALERT⚠️ | CO 52 weekend closure planned east of WCR 21 near Fort Lupton this weekend

From Friday (6/12/26) at 7 p.m. through Monday (6/15/26) at 5 a.m., CO 52 will be closed to all traffic just east of Weld County Road 21 while crews replace a drainage pipe beneath the highway. Due to the deep excavations required within a narrow work zone, a full highway closure is necessary to safely install the large pipe.

🚧Local access to properties between WCR 21 and WCR 23 will be maintained from the east only. A signed detour for through traffic on CO 52 will direct motorists to use I-25 on the west and US Highway 85 on the east to either CO 7 or CO 66 to bypass the closure.

⛈This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change. Message boards along the corridor and the project hotline (720-743-0775) will provide the latest schedule updates.

🚨 RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT TODAY (12:00 PM – 9:00 PM) 🚨
Even with recent rainfall, fire danger remains HIGH across our district.
A large portion of our area is made up of “1-hour fuels” — fine grasses and light vegetation that can dry out in as little as one hour once the sun and wind return. That means yesterday’s rain does not eliminate today’s fire risk.
🔥 These fuels:
• Ignite easily
• Spread fire rapidly
• Dry out extremely fast
💨 With today’s wind and low humidity, any spark could quickly turn into a fast-moving grass fire.
⚠️ Please help us prevent wildfires:
• No outdoor burning
• Secure trailer chains
• Properly dispose of ci******es
• Avoid activities that create sparks or heat
