Smiles, sunshine, and lunch at the park!

Our Summer Meals Program is officially underway, and we loved seeing students and families enjoying lunch together today at Victory Park. Free meals are available to all children 18 and under throughout the summer, with no registration required.

Lunch is served Monday through Thursday at multiple locations across Fort Madison, and take-home breakfast is also available at all park locations.

For locations, times, and menus, visit the link below. We look forward to seeing more students and families throughout the summer!

Through our Career and Technical Education program, students continue gaining valuable real world experience through hands on projects in our community.

Building Trades student Ethan Southwood recently helped build a house obstacle feature for Putt-A-Round FM mini golf course, showcasing the craftsmanship, dedication, and professionalism students continue to develop through career connected learning opportunities.

Thank you to Pen City Current for supplying one of the photos featured in this post.

Congratulations to the Fort Madison Class of 2026!

This graduating class has left a lasting impact on our schools through their leadership, perseverance, character, and involvement both inside and outside of the classroom. From academics and athletics to the arts, activities, and service, they have helped shape a culture that will continue long after graduation.

As they begin this next chapter, we hope they continue to learn, grow, and carry the friendships, memories, and lessons built throughout their time in our district. We are proud of all they have accomplished and grateful to have been part of their journey.

Please join us in celebrating and congratulating the Class of 2026 as they begin the next step in their journey!

As the school year comes to a close, we asked some of our youngest students one simple question:

“What advice would you like to give to our graduating seniors?”

The answers were funny, heartfelt, and a reminder of just how special these moments are. From kindergarten to graduation, it is a joy watching our students learn, grow, and support one another along the way!

Congratulations to all of the winners recognized at the 4th Annual Roxy Awards.

These awards celebrate the leadership, character, integrity, growth, and dedication demonstrated by our students, teams, coaches, advisors, and programs throughout the year. From athletics and fine arts to service organizations and student leadership, each recipient represents the culture and pride that continue to shape Fort Madison activities.

Success is never built by one person alone. It takes students who are willing to lead, staff members who invest in others, families who support along the way, and a community that believes in our schools. We are proud to celebrate the individuals and groups who continue helping make Fort Madison a place where students come to learn and grow.

Yesterday marked the final full day of the school year for our elementary students and a special milestone for our sixth graders as they prepare to begin the next chapter at our Jr./Sr. High School!

To celebrate, staff and students lined the halls and sidewalks to create a tunnel of cheers and encouragement leading from the gym to the front of the school, where families gathered to welcome them. It was a meaningful way to recognize this important transition and celebrate another successful year together!

We are proud to continue being a place where students come to learn and grow!

Our sixth grade students have helped bring a new beautification project to life with a rock garden near the kindergarten entrance to the playground. Students designed and painted their own rocks before placing them in the garden, creating a meaningful space that reflects their creativity.

A big thank you to our PTO for their generous support in providing funds for landscape materials, paint, and rocks, and to Hellige Lawn Care for donating soil and pea gravel to help make this project possible.

We are grateful for the collaboration and school spirit that continue to make our district a place where students come to learn and grow!
