Need to not only speak English but be able to read signs
California just lost $40 MILLION in highway funding—and another $160 million could be next. The federal government says the state refused to properly enforce the English requirement for commercial truck drivers, a rule meant to ensure drivers can understand road signs, communicate with police, and respond during emergencies.
