We hope everyone made it home safe and sound. There was much more interest in the coins and patches than we anticipated. You can email any of the planners and we will share the vendor information for the patch so units can buy in quantity from them directly. We will poll participating units to see how many additional coins you’d like to purchase and the 254 CCG will do another run of those. You can continue to use the website we shared in the Right Start briefing to put your name, unit, and number of coins you’d like in that survey sheet.

BUMBU FORGE 2024 is a large-scale joint services exercise designed to enhance the interoperability and readiness of the U.S. Armed Forces, focusing on realistic combat simulations and strategic operations. The exercise involves coordinated efforts across various military branches and units, testing the participants' tactical skills and decision-making abilities in a controlled, high-intensity environment.

Over 80 Distinguished Visitors (DVs) from 31 different units and the local area visited exercise BUMBU FORGE 2024 at Fort McCoy, WI. The DVs flew into the simulated deployed environment on Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawks to experience a simulated war and interacted with their airmen first hand during training. The DVs also learned about how BUMBU FORGE 2024 increases the war fighting skills and mission readiness of their airmen in multiple different facets. Multiple coins and medals were awarded to honor those airmen who showed exemplary service during this exercise.

Senior Airman John Higley, 221st Combat Communications Squadron (CBCS) Hensley Field, Grand Prairie, Texas was promoted to the rank of Staff Sgt. today aboard a CH-47 Chinook helicopter. Lt. Col Cody Works, 221st CBCS commander performed the ceremony during BUMBU FORGE 2024. It concluded with a brief ride in the aircraft to commemorate the occasion. Congratulations Staff Sgt. Higley! This honor is well deserved.

During BUMBU FORGE 2024 at Fort McCoy, WI, a CH-47 Chinook from B Co. 2-135th Nebraska Army National Guard demonstrated exceptional coordination by transporting Air National Guard service members from the 264th Combat Communications Squadron Peoria, Illinois.

This joint exercise showcased the seamless collaboration between our Army and Air National Guard units. Proud to see such dedicated service members in action!
