Humane Society of York County Humane Society of York County is a no-kill 501(c)(3) rescue in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Our Mission:
To find loving fur-ever homes for dogs and cats.

The Humane Society of York County (HSYC) is an independent local non-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of animals. We are a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and serve the greater Charlotte region including York, Lancaster and Mecklenburg counties. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law, and 100% of your donati

on remains with the HSYC to benefit the pets in our care. To ensure cats and dogs are treated in a humane manner, are rescued, and are placed in loving and forever homes by:
- Increasing dog and cat rescues and adoptions
- Empowering the environment so pet owners are responsible and accountable for their actions
- Supporting spay and neuter programs for community dogs and cats
- Providing a Helping Hands Program to assist with critical treatment for dogs and cats in need

Pebbles is very sad because after a very busy day, she’s our only kitten who wasn’t adopted. Her sibling went home, and then all of her friends went home. Pebbles is begging you to come in on Sunday from 1-4 to adopt her. She’s 13 weeks old and pure perfection.

"I NEED MORE BLANKETS!"
- This kitten, probably.

Our nursery is running low on fleece blankets and other soft bedding for kittens. If you have gently used fleece throws, baby blankets, or other soft blankets you'd like to donate, we'd be incredibly grateful.

Donations can be dropped off during our open hours. Thank you for helping keep our littlest residents comfortable! 🧡
